Message boards have been filled with anticipation for the new Honda UTV. The anticipation seemed to kill many as they postponed their purchase while their friends were off riding in the sand. The speculation of the ideal Honda UTV was rampant as midnight mechanics contemplated the right bore, proper suspension, engine size and more. What everyone forgot to mention was what it would look like. There had been a picture floating around the internet for a year or so that actually looked pretty awesome. I think everyone just figured that with all the talk of “coming out last and dominating the market” there would be no way design would be an issue. THINK AGAIN!!!!

Yes it seems Honda may have outdone themselves in the mechanics and performance sector, but just spend a minute on the forums and you will see that there isn’t very much good said about the looks. Comments like “sore on the eyes” or “just plain ugly” are surfacing everywhere. Some are wondering why they waited so long, while others are calling for the resignation of chief designer.

We try to stay neutral and just report what’s being said, but even we find it to be a little Fisher Price looking. Oh well, I’m sure we can rely on the after market companies to retrofit some new skin that will give Honda the glory they were hoping for. As for the 100+ team of R&D guys and engineers their revenge will probably have to be settled on the track.
